2017 MACTA Member Survey Results

In late 2017, MACTA conducted a survey of its members to get their thoughts on topics such as membership dues, conferences, events, legislative lobbying/monitoring, information sharing, education and areas of focus for the organization.

Here are some of the highlights:

·       36 members responded

·       83% agree MACTA provides value to their organization

·       78% agree the annual conference is informative and educational

·       53% would like to see more programs on technology trends and new equipment

·       80% visit the MACTA website at least several times per year

·       75% agree the e-Brief contains useful and relevant content

·       74% rank “Protecting MACTA members’ policy interests” as the organizations top priority

The board will be using the results to help shape its current and future work plans. Based on the survey, areas for improvement include providing more production/technical content and engaging more with outstate members.

2015 MACTA Member Survey Results

MACTA received very positive feedback from members who took part in a recent survey. Here are the highlights:

  • Thirty-two members responded to the survey conducted Oct. 5 – 21.
  • Almost 88% of respondents feel that being a MACTA member provides value to them or their organization.
  • Additionally, 88% of survey respondents “strongly agreed” or “agreed” that MACTA’s annual conference is informative and educational.
  • Members said that protecting policy interests, providing regular Legislative updates and providing timely, relevant information were the top 3 areas in which MACTA should focus its efforts.
  • Members also gave high marks to MACTA’s communications tools – the e-Brief and website.
  • In fact, 84% of respondents said they feel more connected to MACTA since receiving the e-Brief, which was also the number one way members said they wanted to receive information.

The Board will review the results of the survey in more detail at its annual retreat meeting in December. We will use the feedback from members to improve services and further define areas in which MACTA should focus. Look for more information on survey results in an upcoming e-Brief and on the MACTA website.
