MACTA 2017 Annual Conference Recap
MACTA’s 34th Annual Conference on June 21 was a big success with record attendance!

The day began with a warm welcome from MACTA President Mike Reardon and video updates from U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken. In the opening general session, we heard from a panel of media experts, including Jana Shortal, reporter and co-anchor of Breaking the News on KARE 11, with a candid and entertaining take on the changing world of media. With concurrent session tracks in policy/legal and content/technical, there was something for everyone.

During lunch, we were treated to an update from NATOA President Jodie Miller and a special recognition of MACTA President Mike Reardon for his dedication to local government and service to MACTA for nearly 40 years.
A big thanks to our sponsors for supporting our conference! Alpha Video served as our title sponsor, and our premier sponsors were CBG Communications, CenturyLink, Comcast, Comrex, Moss & Barnett, Sony, Tightrope Media Systems, and Z Systems. Exhibitors were Bradley Berkland Hagen & Herbst, LLC, Charter Communications, CTC Technology & Energy, Granicus, JVC Kenwood Corp, Kennedy & Graven, and USA Drone Services.

Did you attend the conference? If you have not already done so, please take a few minutes to give us your feedback. This will help the committee with future planning.
