7. Do you have a fun fact or story about your organization?

Story: In September, ETV became the first community media organization to broadcast a game from the new Vikings TCO stadium. The historic first-ever high school football game at the multi-million dollar facility was between the Eagan Wildcats and the Farmington Tigers.  On top of all that, it was the homecoming game for the Wildcats.

Being the first game ever from the facility there were many technological hurdles for the ETV team, but they were able to blend the Fox network produced camera feeds of the game along with their own and provide play-by-play with a hometown perspective.

Fun fact: ETV’s studio is housed in Thomson Reuter’s Eagan headquarters. When it opened in 2009, it became the first-of-its-kind public access facility on a corporate campus. The public-private partnership earned the city a Humphrey Institute Local Government Innovation Award.
