MACTA’s 31st Annual Conference

Another Success!

Another successful MACTA annual conference was held on June 25 at the Park Plaza Hotel in Bloomington. More than 100 participants took part in sessions offered in two tracks, policy/legal and content/technical. Thanks to all who attended, our sponsors and the conference committee for their work in making it a conference to remember!

According to ratings and comments from the conference evaluation form, attendees were very pleased with this year’s event.

“The workshops and presentations were informative, interactive and well presented with attention-grabbing slides, videos and pictures,” wrote one attendee. “Really terrific line-up this year, even better than usual,” commented another.

Attendees indicated that the keynote speaker NATOA President Tony Perez, who spoke about threats to the existing cable television business model, and the content/technical session “60 Tech Ideas in 60 Minutes” were highlights of the conference. The evaluation forms also showed the content/technical track was particularly well regarded this year.

“The YouTube presentation was one of the BEST I’ve attended on the subject. I could have listened another hour and not be bored. I learned a lot,” said one attendee.

MACTA will evaluate all of the comments received from attendees this year as we plan the conference for 2015.
