Duluth Public Access Community Television

PACT is Duluth Public Access Community Television, a volunteer, nonprofit organization that offers, encourages and enables individuals and other non-profit groups to produce local programs.

PACT is located in Duluth's City Hall. We manage four (4) access channels for the City of Duluth. We cover a wide array of programming including Duluth City Council Meetings; St. Louis County Board Meetings; a monthly talk show with our Mayor Ness; and other special events.

Recently, the City of Duluth remodeled their Council Chambers and replaced cameras, microphones and switchers. PACT uses this equipment to produce live coverage of the meetings on a weekly basis.

PACT has a studio as well as an editing image lab. We use Apple I-Macs with Final Cut Pro and I-Movie. We have check out equipment that includes Panasonic AV-CAM AG-HMC 150 Card Cameras as well as Panasonic Mini-DV Cameras.

We enable a variety of individuals and organizations to produce shows through our classes in Digital Camcorder and non-linear editing.

Our Cablecasting facility features DVD and hard drive playback. We hope to be streaming video from all channels by mid-2011.
