225,000

SWTV manages the Education and Public cable access channels on behalf of the Southwest Suburban Cable Commission.

5. How many full-time and part-time staff members?

I am the only staff member.
I hold a hybrid position with the SWSCC and the City of Edina with 40 hours per week split between the two.

6. How many channels does your organization manage?

Two channels; an Education and Public Access channel

7. Do you have a fun fact or story about your organization?

Since the studio facility that SWTV producers use was closed due to COVID-19 concerns in March, SWTV has added three new shows produced entirely from the Producers' homes and a fourth show is in development for the fall. Two of the new shows feature aerobic exercises for seniors (after the Edina senior center closed its doors to the public), and the third show features interviews with local authors that would otherwise have presented at local libraries. It's a great example of how Public Access channels serve communities at a hyper-local level, especially during a crisis.

8. Please list your organization's website and social media links.
