Membership period: Annual from the date of join/renewal.

2025 Membership Rate Information: In 2023 the board made a change to membership dues going forward, following our parent chapter NATOA's lead on adding a voluntary assessment. Knowing the financial struggles of some of our members the regular dues have been reduced at most membership levels to also fall in line with NATOA. Another goal of reduced dues is to increase membership to MACTA to help with our legislative efforts. The Voluntary Legislative Assessment (found on your dues invoice) is used to educate our members and protect local government authority. Your support of these efforts is needed now more than ever. Due to the increased costs to modernize funding through Legislative work the assessment has been increased for late 2024 and 2025. Here is a link to the Legislative Assessment page for more details.

Agency (Voting Membership)

Open to locally sanctioned cable communications boards and commissions, city councils, county boards, and other public entities engaged in the regulation, administration, or planning of cable and/or telecommunications systems.

All members of your agency, as long as they are public officials and/or public employees, receive full MACTA benefits under one membership.

Open to any individual from a non-profit or for profit organization, student or non-profit organization involved in the planning, development, programming, or research of telecommunications systems on behalf of/or to local governments or PEG access centers who do not qualify for agency membership.

Associate members receive all MACTA benefits except special mailings and voting privileges.

Member rates for an event


To receive member rates for an event(s), you must join first and then register for the event(s). These will be two separate transactions. Organizational membership-when joining as an organizational member you will need to complete your membership process and make payment. Once your membership is active you will then need to sign back in and go to sub-accounts in the profile to add your contacts.
